Welcome to the August 2023 RSC Game Jam! 🎮
The last game jam was 10 months ago (sorry), but now we’re back with a new, bigger jam we hope you enjoy!
The theme will be revealed on August 2, 2023
We kindly suggest that you read all the information before starting.
What is a Game Jam?
A game jam is where a person or a group of teammates work together to create a game in Roblox Studio within a given amount of time. For this game jam, you will start the development 2 days ago and get as much work done by August 9, 2023!
1️⃣ There will be up to 5 teammates in the same team, but hey, no one says you can't work alone!
2️⃣ You can NOT be in multiple teams.
3️⃣ After the jam starts, you can NOT join a team anymore, and teammates that left or got removed will NOT be replaced.
4️⃣ Every member must contribute in a meaningful way to the game. Not contributing can get you removed from a team!
5️⃣ DO NOT LEAK your game. You can give small sneaks or teasers, but leaking the whole game will get you disqualified! If you see someone leaking their game please report it.
6️⃣ Start from scratch. Using past work, free models, or any other form of PRE-MADE work will get you disqualified! If you’ve started prior announcement and we find out, you will be disqualified from this event and future events for 6 months.
7️⃣ Submissions that do not comply with the theme are not accepted.
8️⃣ Use appropriate names for teams.

1️⃣ Create your Team! Similar to last Game Jam, If you're looking for members, use #👥looking-for-team to find some!
2️⃣ Develop! Start your game, work, and communicate with your teammates as you would normally do in your provided team channel!
3️⃣ Submit your game! If you think your game follows the requirements and the theme, feel free to submit it with the /team game (url) in your teams channel.
4️⃣ Determinate the winners! The winners will then be determined by a vote! We will be doing a group playthrough on August 11, 2023. Contribute to the game jam, even if you are not creating, by showing up and voting for your favorite game!

August 18 @ 8:00 PM EST - Winners receive prizes 💸
Winners will be determined via a vote, after we have played through all the games.
🥇 First Place - $100 + @Event Winner
🥈 Second Place - $75 + @Event Top
🥉 Third Place - $50 + @Event Top
Money will be evenly split between teammates. You can also convert your prize into the equivalent value to another prize, for example $25 worth of robux/nitro.
